Terms of use
These terms cover this website and the Lastshard playtests. By making an account, you agree to them.

The game is in pre-alpha
Lastshard is unfinished. Playtests exist to find what's broken. Expect bugs, crashes, missing features, balance changes and downtime.
The game and this site are provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind. We don't promise that they will work, stay online, or suit any purpose. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using them.
Wipes happen
We may reset the game world at any time. That can remove your characters, items, gold, skills and houses. We'll try to warn you on the dev log first, but we can't always.
Nothing you have in a playtest is promised to carry over to a later playtest or to launch.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to make an account.
- One account per person. Your account is for you alone.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Your account on this site is also your game login. Playtest access is by invitation, and we decide who gets it.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
Rules and bans
You agree to follow the rules of conduct. If you break them, we may warn you, remove things from your account, take away playtest access, suspend your account or ban it. We decide how to apply the rules.
Who owns what
The game, its world, story, art, code and everything in it belong to us. Your characters, items, gold and houses are part of the game. They aren't your property, and they can't be sold for real money.
You own what you write and make outside the game, such as videos, streams, art and guides. You may use screenshots and footage of Lastshard in them, including on monetised channels. Please label pre-alpha footage as pre-alpha. Logos and art for coverage are in the press kit.
If you send us ideas, bug reports or feedback, we may use them freely and without paying you.
Your privacy
The privacy notice says what we keep about you and why.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as the game grows. We'll update the date at the top and post about big changes on the dev log. If you keep using the site or the game after a change, the new terms apply.
