Roadmap
What we're working on now, what comes next and what comes later. There are no dates. Things move between columns as we build them, and the dev log says when they do.
Now
Built or being built, in today’s pre-alpha.
Closed playtests
Small invite-only tests of the current build, opening in waves to people on the playtest list.
Highmarch
The capital and the land around it: walls and gates, the market square, the bank, shops, homes with doors that lock, farms, forest and hills.
Gathering
Chop trees, forage plants and skin what you hunt. Skills rise as you use them, up to a total cap.
Banking
A bank box for your things and a gold balance you can deposit to and withdraw from at any banker.
Shops
Townsfolk who buy and sell, and trainers who teach a skill for a fee.
Combat
Swords, daggers and bows against wolves, goblins and bandits. War mode, stamina and death with your body left where you fell.
Accounts
One account for this site and the game, with five character slots.
Next
Designed, and next in line to build.
Housing
Houses in the open world that hold your things and lock.
The first dungeon
The first ruin from a dead shard, with its own monsters and loot.
Magic and reagents
Spellbooks, and the reagents every spell burns.
Tradeskill quests
Town orders that buy what crafters make while they train.
Tutorials
A guided start for new souls in and around Highmarch.
Later
Part of the plan. Further out.
Taming and mounts
Win animals over, keep them as pets, and ride.
Ships and the sea
Boats, deep-sea fishing, treasure maps and what lives past the shallows.
Player vendors and towns
Vendors who sell your goods while you are away, and towns that players found.
Reputation and virtue
A name that follows you, and a world that treats you by it.
The storyline
Why the shards went dark, and whether Aldermere is next.
A persistent shard
A world that stays up and keeps what you build.
Plans change. Something in Later might arrive sooner if playtests show it matters. Something in Next might wait if Now needs more work.
